Today is my last day at TechCrunch. I had plans to write up a long list of thank-yous to the myriad people who helped, invested, believed, and otherwise supported me there. But, instead of having a strong finish to my time at TC, I snagged COVID this week and am thus more a shambling wreck than a contemplative writer.
Thank you TechCrunch for everything. I owe you, and won’t forget it.
Where am I off to next? I’m going to help Jason host This Week in Startups three times per week, build my newsletter/blog, and write some fiction. Or as I put it when I am feeling confident, I am betting on myself to try some new stuff.
Give me your email address so that we can stay close:
I am very excited. And scared, I have to admit; leaving your corporate nest is trickier than I imagined it would be. But, after 4.5 years back at the home pub, it’s time.
The good news for Equity, TechCrunch AM, and TechCrunch Minute subscribers is that regular service will continue. It’s warming to have helped build a few things at TC that are going to outlast my tenure.
Ok, enough for now. I am going to see if enough time has passed to take more pain killers and fever suppressants. Hugs — Alex
p.s. But really, give me your email address. ^^
Just saying the obvious, I bet on you too
It is a good move for you, given all the changes at TC. Jason has a stable environment for you to work at.
